Pain, sometimes, is like Love . . .
It grows, until it becomes your Life.

Major Virat Singh Rajput was once a fearless Black Cat commando who had saved Mumbai from its venomous perpetrators. His life took a beautiful turn when he got engaged to Pratishtha Sachdev, the girl he had selflessly loved for the last fourteen years.

Everything was blissful, until one day Pratishtha mysteriously went missing. Virat, who was hailed as India’s hero, has now become a villain and is facing a certain death penalty.

Only one woman can save him.

Criminal Defense Lawyer Vaishnavi Pandit has not won her first six cases. She is adamant to win her seventh.

But, still, no one knows where Pratishtha is.
No one still knows what the motive behind Virat’s crime was.
The odds are heavily against Vaishnavi.

Let’s unfold together a deeply romantic and nail-biting story about true love, excruciating pain and lurid vengeance – a thrilling story about love and honesty, hatred and deceit, friendship and animosity, dark truths and hidden motives

My Take

Starting from the cover touching and at the same time eye-catching and revealing. It makes one want to pick up the book and explore the story within the covers. The cover distinctly shows the two phases of the protagonist’s life. The first one which is shown in the upper half of the book shows couple embracing each other in a warm hug and the lower half of the cover shows how he is left alone. It perfect according to the plot. Title is also beautiful. Makes perfect combination cover and title.

The book starts in Tihar Central Prisons with the conversation between the criminal defense lawyer Vaishnavi Pandit & the deputy inspector general of the prison, Ashutosh Dubey. She needs to meet Virat Singh Rajput so that she can know about the motive behind the crime by the person who was once treated as the country’s pride who served in the Indian Army and later at NSG. Something is missing??? Then story enters into flash back where Virat narrates the story to Vaishnavi

Major Virat Singh Rajput is NSG  Black Cat commando in Indian Army. He was soldier brave, fearless, respectable, dedicated officer and his first priority is protecting his motherland. He was a hero. He leads the operation black tornado in Mumbai terrorist attack and successfully accomplishes the mission. Then talks about Virat love of life from school days (14 years) Pratishtha Sachdev. Pratishtha was deeply in love with Kabir Nandha. Kabir later ditches her. She was totally broken and try to commit suicide. After her breakup with Kabir. Ayisha realizes her Virat was perfect man for her. Pratishtha accepts Virat proposal and loves him and novel gets into a romantic thrill. They got engaged.

Virat moves for other mission in Guwahati. When Kabir re-enters their life and creates more trouble. When Virat comes back after completing the mission he came to know Pratishtha was missing. He tires to find Pratishtha in every possible way he can with clues.

What happens to Pratishtha? Will Virat able to find Pratishtha? To know more read the book.

Your happiness is everything to me,

Everything else,

My love is just everything else

Love of my life is one of the romantic novels, which offers both romance and a thriller. Interesting, intriguing and riveting. The plot is strong and the author has been able to do full justice to it. There is subtle romance as well as suspense. While the first half will bring a smile to the eyes, the second half which is raw with emotions starting from hope to frustration to utter helplessness and loss will moisten them. The agony of seeing one’s beloved suffer, and not be able to do anything to ease the pain is brought out well so too is the author’s reaction to the loss. The story flows like a movie and  the every scene is so well written than you can actually get images of them in your mind. The language of the book is simple and crisp which will make it easy to read for the readers. Narration is done well. Characterization is perfect. All the characters are well developed. One of the most important things that I noticed is how with few words, the author could not only just portray the pain, joy and sorrows of the characters but he even manages to bring that out from the readers as well and this is a feature that is only achieved by very few people and that is why I am so impressed by the book. The book all through had made me travel through a roller coaster of emotions from making me smile at the sweetness of the relationship between Virat and Pratishtha and then equally jostle me and make me cry a river over the phases that the book took me through. I want to kill Kabir Nanda, Maxie Rodriguez, Akshat Sareen for brutally raping Pratishtha i can feel the pain. I would say I cried, I cried and I want to read it again The book also contains the real names of the brave hearts who made a supreme sacrifice of their lives while combating the deadly terrorists during 26/11 attacks on Mumbai. I would like to appreciate that for the authors effort. Word power is the author’s strong point. A wonderful read, one that has the capacity to hold the reader till the last word. There are some absolutely beautiful lines that are very poetic and heart touching.

It’s the best novel i have ever read in romance genre and really loved it. It’s no as usual romantic novel it makes you remember Mumbai attacks to rape cases of our country. It was a different read for me from an Indian author. Looking forward to read other works.

The fragrance of your memories will never fade away….

For, you are in my heart, in my soul, in my breath…forever….

Hence one is able to finish it in just one sitting without wanting to put it down.I would like to recommend this book to all the book worms.

Must Read

I’m glad to hear you liked this one. I don’t know that many books I’ve read that were set in India, so that’s intriguing. Love the cover with the two phases of his life.
