Love is painful. Love makes people selfish. Love binds a family and, in the process, breaks two. Love makes you feel weak. Love gifts you scars, tears, and painful memories.

And yet, love is beautiful.

‘Letters To My Son’ is all about love. The love of a single father, Aarav who brings up his son, Nirav, protecting him against all odds, is unimaginably pure. Yet he had to undergo severe pain when Nirav goes abroad with this girlfriend Mirnalini for higher education.

It is Nirav’s birthday. He gets a parcel from his father with the note “Letters to my Son”. Each letter comes as a lesson, in love, family and life. As he picks up random letters and reads, he breaks down. The truth is always bitter, but love can heal everything.

What earth shattering secrets do the letters reveal?

Will the contents change the way Nirav feels about the people in his life?

Will Aarav’s love heal Nirav’s wounds?

My Take

Love is painful. Love makes a person selfish. Love binds a family and, in the process, breaks two. Love gives you enormous strength. Love can make you feel weak. Love gifts you scar, beautiful moments, and painful memories.

Something very magical can happen when you read a good book. I felt that magic in me after reading this book. It makes me realize what true love is, as it demands nothing but just to be expressed.

This is the story of protagonist Arav, Nirav and Mirnalini (Miru). The story starts with father and son pure love and then Nirav and Miru relationship and goes to abroad  to do masters. The book is about the sacrifices, love, care, affection and support of a single father and his journey of raising his child. Then Nirav recieves a parcel of letters from his father and and the real story begins.

Poetry heals pain and love inspires poets.

The plot is unique; the storyline is gripping as well as intriguing. The words were simple and the language is lucid which eased the reading. The plot is  a blend of emotions, love, romance, affection, loneliness and most importantly family values. One might feel the emotions of those characters while they read.

The author has done a good job in narrating all the stories with ease. The language is simple to follow which make it easier for the reader to connect to the characters in the stories and resonate with them. Title of the book is well related with the story. Also the cover is attractive enough to catch attention. I loved the father and son relation and as well as understanding between Nirav and Miru.

You gave me a chance to understand the amount of pain we had inflicted on our parents.

As the author points it right in the foreword that in a busy schedule one has now-a-days it is hard to find time during the day to read a book. It is then, when a quick and refreshing read. Looking forward to read more books by the author.

Remember that a happy wife turns a house made of bricks and cement into a happy home.

Recommend to all book lovers. Must Read.
